Micheal “Mike” Powers, known for his bright blue eyes and warm heart, has faithfully walked with the Lord for many decades. He first came to Las Vegas around 1980 and gave his life to Jesus shortly after, in 1981, during a personal encounter with the Lord at home that changed the direction of his life.

Not long after his salvation, Mike began serving in church ministry. He attended Trinity Temple and later helped plant what was then West Valley Assembly of God, now known as the International Church of Las Vegas. Over the years, the Lord continued to guide his steps into new seasons of service, including time at Calvary Chapel in North Las Vegas and later helping serve with Calvary Chapel New Beginnings.

Throughout his years in ministry, Mike has faithfully served in many areas including administration, men’s ministry, ushering, outreach, and supporting church leadership. His heart has always been to help build and strengthen the church, even participating in the work of helping establish and build a church along the way.

Mike is a devoted family man and father to three sons. His first wife, Sharon, went home to be with the Lord in 2010. In 2025, God brought a new chapter of joy into his life when he married his wife Connie on May 25.

With decades of life experience, Pastor Mike continues to serve with humility, wisdom, and a genuine desire to see others grow in their walk with Christ.
